Community Clinic Hours
Community Clinic Hours is a low-barrier, donate-what-you-can (DWYC), perinatal-focused, and community-centred outreach initiative. It is a collaboration between Ìyá Pittsburgh, Igi Osè Traditional Birth Services, Amethyst Community Health, and various other guest providers and organisations.
Donations are at the discretion of participants, in any amount, in cash or via PayPal, and no one will be turned away for a lack of funds/an inability to donate.
The weekly clinic is located on the Northside of Pittsburgh in the neighbourhood of West Allegheny, where the community is essentially in a perinatal care desert with regard to affirming & culturally appropriate care for BIPOC & LGBTQ+ people.
The aim is to provide basic perinatal and reproductive care, support, and education to anyone, while prioritising those people who have been historically marginalised & exploited in reproductive healthcare spaces.
The weekly clinic is a safer space and community space. Everyone is welcome to drop by, say hi, and get care/information. However, intentional speech or behaviour which is hateful or discriminatory will not be tolerated. This space is Queer & Gender Inclusive, Sex-Positive, and Fat/Body-Positive. Services are available to all persons regardless of religion/spiritual path, race/ethnicity, sex/gender, sexuality, gender expression, (dis)ability, weight/size, age, relationship status, family structure, or citizenship/immigration status.
Masking is not required, but highly encouraged. Participants are asked to NOT make gendered assumptions about providers or other participants, to use the names & pronouns provided by others, and to ask others their names & pronouns when not certain.

When
The clinic is held weekly on Wednesdays (starting in February 2026). The clinic runs from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Care is provided on a first come, first served basis with the understanding that there may be a waitlist to be seen.
Additionally, in the building from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Cityview Church hosts a low-barrier, FREE food distribution and clothing pantry, available to anyone who walks into the community center. People may come as early as 2:15 PM to sign-up (first name only) for the distro.

Where
The clinic is at the office of Iya Pittsburgh Project inside Tripoli Street Community Center/Cityview Church. The building is accessible by buses 6, 7, and 12 with free limited lot parking (on Turtle Way) & street parking around the building. The main entrance of the building (on Tripoli Street) is wheelchair accessible. Iya's office and the community center's gendered bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. There is a private, gender-inclusive bathroom inside Iya's office that is not wheelchair accessible. The address is:
816 Tripoli Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212

Services
The clinic is staffed by two traditional community midwives (one of which is a reproductive & perinatal social worker/therapist), along with an additional rotation of other perinatal and reproduction care and support providers. All care is provided in a community setting with room for sitting and chatting. Care & information provided can include, but is not limited to: fertility, prenatal, & postpartum care (proof of pregnancy, FHT & BP checks, belly mapping, etc.); lactation support; sex education (safer sex supplies); navigating social services; babywearing & baby carrier education; harm reductions supplies, and more! Disclaimers.

Logistics
While the clinic is a safer space, please keep in mind that the space is a medium-sized room without a private exam room. This means that privacy is minimal. No care or procedures are provided that require the removal of clothing, beyond exposing a pregnant participant's abdomen to facilitate bellymapping, checking fetal positioning, and listening to fetal heart tones. It is possible for others who are present to see what is done and hear what is discussed. If you have exceptionally sensitive health information that you do not want to potentially and unintentionally share with others, unfortunately the clinic might not be the right place for your needs.

Ethos
The clinic midwives are body/fat-positive, trauma-informed, and inclusive and affirming of queer/gender-diverse people and all family/relationship structures. They practice informed-decision making, value bodily & cognitive autonomy, and support efforts towards harm-reduction. Additional providers and support people present at the clinic must also align with these concepts and are vetted before providing care, support, or education at the clinic. Everyone is welcome, even if you are receiving care from another provider. Being low-income or uninsured/underinsured are not requirements to visit to the clinic.

Donations
There are no set suggested donation amounts for care, support, or education provided at the clinic. Participants can offer donations in amounts as little or as much as they are able to afford, even if they cannot offer anything. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Ìyá Pittsburgh is a registered 501(c)(3) and all donations will go towards replenishing clinic supplies, equipment maintenance, and clinic improvements. By request, a receipt can be provided for any donations made.
please read the disclaimers before your first visit to the clinic
