About the event
Community Clinic Hours is a low-barrier, donate-what-you-can (DWYC), perinatal-focused, and community-centred outreach initiative. It is a collaboration between Ìyá Pittsburgh, Igi Osè Traditional Birth Services, Amethyst Community Health, and various other guest providers and organisations.
Donations are at the discretion of participants, in any amount, in cash or via PayPal, and no one will be turned away for a lack of funds/an inability to donate.
The weekly clinic is located on the Northside of Pittsburgh in the neighbourhood of West Allegheny, where the community is essentially in a perinatal care desert with regard to affirming & culturally appropriate care for BIPOC & LGBTQ+ people.
The aim is to provide basic perinatal and reproductive care, support, and education to anyone, while prioritising those people who have been historically marginalised & exploited in reproductive healthcare spaces.
