Come join us at Ìyá Pittsburgh and learn the necessary social and clinical skills to assist midwives at homebirths.
- charting
- taking vitals & monitoring (client & fetal)
- assessing SROM
- assisting in emergencies
- immediate postpartum care/assessment
- and more!
This training is for practicing birthworkers and student midwives who are early in their training. This
training is not for brand new or aspiring birthworkers. Participants will still need CPR and NRP or Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) in order to assist at births. Ìyá Pittsburgh will be offering HBB in January 2027.

Cost:
PWCY Sliding Scale $50-$350
Any amount over $50 paid will go to paying your instructors. Registration and payment are due by 5:00 PM ET on Friday, November 6th, 2026.
